    Vendor and RFP Timeline

What is a Request for Proposals (RFP)?

A Request for Proposals (RFP) is a formal document used by the City to solicit proposals from potential vendors for specified services or projects. The critical piece of this document is the Scope of Services, which contains the City’s expectations for services and the service/project parameters.

RFP No. 2025-01: Micro-Transit and Ride-Hailing Services

On December 12th, 2024, the City of Rosemead released RFP No. 2025-01, “Micro-Transit and Ride-Hailing Services”. This RFP was the City’s request for potential vendors to submit their proposals to offer micro-transit and/or ride-hailing services to residents. The final date for proposal submissions was January 29th, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

The City of Rosemead is currently in the latter phase of the RFP process, which entails selecting the top three (3) proposals and conducting an intensive evaluation process of those vendors. The City may assess a potential vendor for the soundness of their Proposed Service Model; their financial capability; and their past experiences performing similar projects.

After this evaluation process, staff will present their recommendations to the City Council who will award a contract based on their judgment.

Transit Needs Survey

As the City continues to evaluate potential vendors, we encourage residents to participate in this process by filling out the survey below. This survey will help the City better understand the transportation needs of the community and better inform the City’s selection process. The survey is also offered in  Spanish, Vietnamese, and Mandarin.
